If you have been following my new website, Build a House With Me, you will know that I have been trying to renovate an old barn in the French countryside for the last few months.

What you might also know is that there aren’t many people in the French countryside, and so when we get a visit from the neighbours, it’s exciting!

I was told yesterday that the local farmer was coming to visit us, and that he was going to bring a special gift! What a treat!
昨天我被告知一个当地的农民要来我们家做客，并且他会给我们带来一个很特别的礼物！真的是天上掉馅饼了！
When he arrived, however, I was less impressed. The gift was a huge
pile….

On the positive side it means that we’ll be able to grow more plants around the garden, like these beauties:
